Ask before you order, in writing, because an exterior shade is exactly the kind of thing an architectural committee cares about. In Zionsville the only association with a published window covering rule we could retrieve is Vonterra, which prohibits reflective window screens and coverings outright and requires written Architectural Control Committee approval, on an approved ACC request form, for any color or material change to the house before work starts.
